
𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀
𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗢, 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 – Lieutenant General Kazuki Ueno, Chief of Staff, Ground Component Command, Japan Ground Self Defense Force together with members of his delegation, paid a courtesy visit to Major General Vicente MAP Blanco III PN(M), Commandant, Philippine Marine Corps, at the Headquarters Philippine Marine Corps, Marine Barracks Rudiardo Brown, Taguig City on June 29, 2026. This official visit served as a platform for the two leaders to exchange perspectives on developments in regional security. A central item on the agenda was Exercise KAMANDAG, an initiative that reinforces the partnership between the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) and the Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF). The engagement also reinforced the ongoing efforts to enhance operational interoperability, facilitate the exchange of best practices, and deepen defense cooperation between the two forces. The courtesy visit underscored their strengthening relationship, as well as their enduring commitment to regional stability and strategic cooperation in support to a free and secure Indo-Pacific Region.
