
The 2nd Marine Brigade, PMC, held its Change of Command Ceremony, marking the formal turnover of command from outgoing Commander, BGen Bayani V Curaming PN(M), to newly installed Commander, BGen Armando B Custodio PN(M). The significant military tradition was presided over by Major General Vicente MAP Blanco III PN(M), Commandant, PMC, on August 3, 2026, at the Headquarters 2MBde, Marine Base Domingo Deluana, Sanga-Sanga, Tawi-Tawi.
The activity opened with a solemn Wreath-Laying Ceremony at 2MBde Headquarters, graced by BGen Custodio to honor the gallant Marines who sacrificed their lives in service to the Nation. The tribute was then followed by Arrival Honors for the Incoming Commander. Attendees included representatives from the PMC Staff, LGUโs, NGAโs, LEAโs, the academe, the religious sector, reservists, military veterans, and other units of the AFP.
Major General Blanco, commended the outgoing Commander, BGen Curaming, for his notable accomplishments during his tenure in the province, expressing his confidence that the incoming leadership would build upon these gains and continue advancing the Brigadeโs mission. Meanwhile, the outgoing Commander expressed his gratitude to the LGUโs for their support and cooperation extended to all Marines deployed in Tawi-Tawi throughout his term. This significant event stands as a testament to the PMCโs unwavering commitment to our Nation.
