Lieutenant General Cerilo C. Balaoro Jr PA, Commander, Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM), rendered a courtesy visit to the Headquarters Philippine Marine Corps on September 14, 2026.

LtGen Balaoro was warmly welcomed by Major General Vicente MAP Blanco III PN(M), Commandant, Philippine Marine Corps. This visit followed in response to MGen Blanco’s courtesy call at SOLCOM Headquarters, Camp Guillermo Nakar, Lucena City, Quezon Province, on 18 August 2026.

During the meeting, the two commanders reaffirmed the importance of sustained coordination and close collaboration between SOLCOM and the PMC, particularly in addressing operational matters and supporting security efforts within SOLCOM’s area of responsibility.

The engagement reflected the enduring partnership between SOLCOM and the PMC as they continue working together in the service of the Filipino people and in advancing peace and security.⁩
