The Philippine Marine Corps showcased innovation, talent, and teamwork during Husay Marino 2: Modern Warfare Edition, a celebration dedicated to outgoing Marine Commandant, Major General Vicente MAP Blanco III PN(M) as he prepares to conclude his service.

Participating Marine units competed in Tagisan ng Talino and Himig Marino, testing their knowledge and musical talents in a spirited display of camaraderie. The 3rd Marine Brigade, PMC emerged as Champion of Tagisan ng Talino, while the Combat Support Brigade claimed the Championship in Himig Marino.

Also, the Modern Warfare Competition featured aerial and remote-controlled car precision targeting and speed challenges, alongside Battlebots contests, highlighting the ingenuity and technical skills of participating Marines.

The program also recognized achievements in PMC Best Beachhead Implementating Units and Offices, the Funshoot Competition, the Admirals Cup Champion 2026, and the Modern Warfare Competition, alongside recognition for Civilian Human Resource personnel. Other highlights included the Launching of the Seargeant Major Handbook; Soft Launching of the PMC Beachhead Automation System; and, Recognition of the Outstanding Beachhead Officer, NCO and Civilian Human Resource.

Beyond the competitions, Husay Marino 2, served as a heartfelt tribute to Major General Blanco. The talents and achievements on display reflected a Marine community ready to carry the mission forward as its Commandant prepares to bid farewell.

His command draws to a close, but his legacy lives on in the Corps.
