𝐎𝐧 11 October 2025, the 1st Marine Rifle Battalion successfully conducted an outreach activity dubbed “All-in-One Bayanihan” at Barangay Tumalutab, Zamboanga City, in celebration of the 75th Philippine Marine Corps Anniversary.

This community-centered initiative was made possible through the support of Go Share Philippines, City Government of Zamboanga, Alavar Foods Inc., the Office of the Vice President – Zamboanga Satellite Office, National Book Store, and Century Pacific RSPO and other sponsors in close coordination with the Western Mindanao Command, Western Mindanao Naval Command, Joint Task Force Zamboanga, MSOC-P and EAAB Hospital Medical Team.

The event brought smiles and assistance to the more or less 4000 residents of Bgy Tumalutab and nearby island barangays through various free services such as; medical check-up, dental services, eye check-up, minor surgery, circumcision, free medicine, distribution of toys, school bags and supplies, food packs, and clothing apparel, along with feeding activities, haircut services, popcorn and cotton candy treats, fun games, and a photo booth.

Beyond its immediate humanitarian impact, the “All-in-One Bayanihan” outreach activity plays a crucial role in reinforcing national security. By fostering strong ties between the AFP and local communities, especially in strategic areas like Zamboanga City, the initiative strengthens trust, cooperation, and social cohesion. Such engagement is vital in countering insurgency, terrorism, and other security threats by building resilient communities that support peace and stability. The presence of the military as a force not only of defense but also of goodwill enhances its effectiveness in maintaining long-term peace and security in the region.

The 1st Marine Rifle Battalion’s outreach exemplifies the multifaceted role of the Philippine Marine Corps—not only as defenders of the nation but as compassionate partners in nation-building. Through initiatives like “All-in-One Bayanihan,” the Marines continue to embody the spirit of service and unity, fostering hope and resilience in the communities they protect.
