LAPU-LAPU CITY, CEBU I The Philippine Marine Corps reaffirmed its full support for the 48th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, themed โNavigating Our Future, Togetherโ, by successfully completing its security mission in support of the Presidential Security Command at Shangri-La Mactan and Dusit Thani Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, from May 6 to 8, 2026.
Operating in seamless coordination with other law enforcement and security units, the presence and deployment of Philippine Marines personnel ensured a safe, secure, and orderly environment for all participating global leaders, delegates, and visitors throughout the event.
Beyond securing the immediate perimeter and venue, this deployment served as a vital exercise in inter-agency interoperability, joint cooperation, and upholding regional stability. This successful undertaking further reinforces the Philippine Marine Corpsโ operational readiness, capability, and unwavering commitment to protecting the nation and serving as a reliable partner in safeguarding major international gatherings.
