IN PHOTOS: 298 Candidate Soldiers Graduate from Marine Basic Course Classes 513–517

Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City - October 7, 2025, A total of 298 candidate soldiers successfully completed the six-month rigorous Marine Basic Course (MBC) training for enlisted personnel of the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC). The graduation ceremony was held at the Bonifacio Naval Station Grandstand and Parading Ground, marking the official commencement of Classes 513th to 517th into active service.

The ceremony was graced by Brigadier General Eric A. Macaambac PN(M), Deputy Commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps, who represented Major General Vicente MAP Blanco III, Commandant of the PMC. In his address, BGen Macaambac delivered the Commandant’s message, officially welcoming the new breed of Marine warriors and urging them to uphold the PMC’s enduring motto: “Karangalan, Katungkulan, at Kabayanihan.”

Top Performing Graduates per Class:

• CS Neckim C. Cabaya – 513 MBC

• CS Mark Jhonson C. Samon – 514 MBC

• CS Francis Kent L. Raboy – 515 MBC

• CS Janillo M. Montillano – 516 MBC

• CS Daniel C. Rabasano – 517 MBC

Among the top graduates, CS Francis Kent L. Raboy of Class 515 MBC emerged as the overall top performer, earning an impressive average grade of 92.30. He was recognized with a cash incentive from the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loans Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI) for his outstanding performance.

These newly minted Marines are now set to be deployed to various Marine units across the country, ready to serve with dedication, discipline, and honor.
